FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Straightforward answers for creators considering a conversation with FROM Networks.
What is FROM Networks?
FROM Networks works with creators who are exploring thoughtful localization and distribution for audiences in additional languages and markets.
Why did FROM Networks contact me?
We may reach out when a creator's work appears to be a potential fit for a localization opportunity. Outreach is an invitation to talk, not a commitment or a grant of rights.
Do I keep ownership of my original content?
Yes. Your original work remains yours. A conversation, application, or evaluation does not transfer ownership or give FROM Networks rights to use it.
Does replying to outreach give FROM Networks permission to use my content?
No. A conversation, application, or evaluation alone does not authorize FROM Networks to localize, publish, or distribute your content. Any usage rights require a separate written agreement.
Is this exclusive?
No exclusivity is implied. Any exclusive rights would need to be stated clearly in a signed agreement.
How does localization work?
Depending on the agreed scope, localization can involve translation or adaptation, narration or dubbing, editing and presentation, and distribution through agreed destination channels.
How is revenue share calculated?
Commercial terms are agreed for each partnership before localization begins. Where a revenue share applies, the agreement explains the applicable distributable revenue and creator-share calculation.
How are creators paid?
Commercial terms are agreed case by case, based on the creator, content, and partnership. There is no single public revenue-share formula for every collaboration.
Does FROM Networks guarantee views or revenue?
No. Localization and distribution can create an opportunity to reach new audiences, but views, subscribers, revenue, ranking, and commercial results are not guaranteed.
Do I need an account to reply to outreach?
No. The secure conversation linked from an outreach email supports accountless replies, so you can continue the discussion without creating an account.
Is the secure conversation private?
It is a controlled communication channel for you and FROM Networks. Replies are kept with the partnership discussion, and conversation updates may also be sent by email so you have a record outside the portal.
What happens if I am interested?
We start with a conversation. Where appropriate, the next steps are onboarding or an application, review, and a specific written agreement and permissions before any localization or distribution begins.
Can I decline or decide not to continue?
Yes. You can choose not to continue a partnership discussion at any point before an agreement is made.
Can terms differ between creators or videos?
Yes. Scope, commercial terms, languages, territories, channels, duration, and permissions can be specific to a creator, partnership, or piece of content.
What costs can be deducted?
Only deduction categories expressly agreed in writing may reduce distributable revenue. There are no unexplained deductions.
What reporting will I receive?
Creators receive documented reporting for covered localized content, including relevant platform performance, attributable revenue, agreed deductible costs, creator-share calculations, and payment records where applicable.
Which content can be localized?
Only the content, languages, markets, platforms, and duration covered by the applicable written agreement may be used.
Who owns the localized channel?
Localized content may be published through destination channels operated by FROM Networks. Appearing there does not give a creator ownership of that destination channel.
Can a partnership be fixed-term or ongoing?
Either. A partnership may run for an agreed fixed term or continue on an ongoing basis until ended under the applicable agreement.
What happens if I want to stop?
The applicable written agreement governs any suspension, termination, dispute-related handling, and post-termination content handling. If localized content must be withdrawn, its unlisting or removal period is documented there.
How do I start?
Start with a partnership application or contact us about the creator and content. Applying starts a conversation; it does not grant FROM Networks rights to localize or distribute your work.
